OLINASU is a coined word derived from the pronunciation of the Kanji characters 織り成す, a Japanese verb which means "to interweave" in English. Our goal is to assist our clients in obtaining intellectual property rights as if we wove "fine fabric" together with them.
The firm was formed on 1 October 2008 in Tokyo as a result of the merger of the Patent and Trademark Divisions of YASUHARA LAW & PATENT OFFICE ("YASUHARA") with a 60-year history, and KASHIWAGI & ASSOCIATES that had just celebrated their 39th anniversary in 2008. Nonetheless, it can be said that OLINASU traces its roots way back to 1929, the year in which YASUHARA's predecessor, YASUHARA PATENT OFFICE, was founded.
OLINASU has one of the most established practices in IP disputes, since YASUHARA PATENT OFFICE was previously a law and patent firm.
